decided to try something differnet. Used some water color pencils to make this map look old and like it's on a parchment. Does it work?

Though I do wish i had changed the font for the table of content :|

The aging you did works fairly well, though I can see the lines you drew. I always found that the best thing to do to make paper look like old parchment was to brew some black tea (or coffee), and let the paper soak in it overnight. Another way is to singe the paper, but that's not exactly safe, and it often takes a few tries (I've burned parts of the paper that I didn't want to burn off).

after i finished the map, i thought about changing the black lines to print in brown. that might have looked better.
Someone has also mentioned i should make it look older with adding line marks of where the map might have been rolled up. etc :)

Also good thoughts! There are so many ways to artificially age things, it's actually rather amazing.

I do like your map, though. I haven't got the creativity to make up a world like this.
